The Honved Fencing Club in Budapest is home to an extraordinary female fencing legacy. Held back for years by traditionalists who believed the sport too dangerous for them, their number has grown significantly over the last century. Behind their masks, the challenge of their gender is stripped away - the only clue being the occasional sweep of a ponytail. Androgyny prevails; the awkwardness of youth and a hard-won battle replaced with grace and poise.
