As part of the Maharam studio series, I visited world-renowned textile artist Sheila Hicks in Paris. Her pioneering experiments in colour and form led to a hugely successful collaboration with Knoll International in the 1960s, and her woven upholstery designs have been revived many times since. I spent a couple of days in her leafy, stone-walled studio, capturing her expert weaving of art, craft and design and exchanging stories of our shared love of South America.
