"Around the world, thousands of people die every year from snakebite – and there’s not enough antivenom to go round. But even if we had the antivenom we needed, would people use it?"
Nick was asked to document the extraction of venom from some of the 49 species of snakes at the Centre for Snakebite Research & Interventions at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. This included being locked into a room where snakes are free to roam around as he got up close and personal whilst documenting the work of those who work at the centre creating antivenom to protect us from lethal bites.
